ABOUT

A DJ-first store for electronic music.

Dubrate exists because no one selling electronic music online is selling it the way DJs actually buy it.

What we are

Dubrate is a marketplace for electronic music. Artists upload tracks and packs, set their price, and ship the file the same hour. Buyers either pay per-track or subscribe to a tier and pull credits from a rolling balance.

The split is 85% to the artist on every sale. Always. There is no promotional carve-out, no "featured" tax, no 30-day royalty cycle. Stripe Connect pays the artist directly, weekly.

What we aren't

  • A streaming service. You pay for files. You own the files. They live in your library, your Rekordbox crate, your USB stick.
  • An A&R gatekeeper.Uploads go live as soon as the rights attestation is signed. No human judgement on whether a track is "good enough" for the catalogue.
  • A label. We don't sign artists. We don't take publishing. The artist is the rightsholder, full stop.

How we're different from Beatport

Beatport is built for "DJ pools" — bulk subscription streaming with an option to buy. The economics flatten the artist's cut. Dubrate flips it: the catalogue is paid-first, the subscription is a discount lever for heavy buyers, and the per-track rate halves at every tier.

We also ship features built for the way DJs actually work: harmonic- compatible recommendations on every track, Camelot key + BPM first-class in the schema, crates that export directly to Rekordbox and Serato, and ID3 tags pre-embedded on download.

Where we're going

See the press page for the published roadmap. Open-source plans for the cross-DJ-software export library, a label-tier admin surface, a stems product (Demucs-powered), and a live broadcast room with set-list tracking are on the way.

Who's behind it

Dubrate Ltd is a UK company registered in Bristol. Founded by electronic-music nerds who wanted a record store that didn't charge them 30p extra to download a £1.49 track.
